Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Instructional Associate III, College Tutoring Math . **** This is a specialized professional and technical work position in support of tutoring and other academic support options that are provided in direct service to students through College Tutoring and Library Services. This position works independently and is engaged in maintaining the daily operations for a discipline specific center's work flow, such as for oral communications, math/science, or writing. The Instructional Associate III provides developmental and course-specific academic assistance via independent consultations and promotes learning strategies to aid in course-level success, overall skills development, and the retention of students. This is a tiered position. Meaning if your qualifications are close, but not exact, we may be able to offer employment at a more entry level tier. Two (2) years of tutorial/teaching experience in the appropriate subject area in an educational setting to include one (1) year full-time professional work experience as an FSW Instructional Associate II. Appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted. OR Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. An earned College Reading Learning Association or Association of Coaching and Tutoring Profession Associate Tutor Certification. One (1) year full-time professional work experience as an FSW Instructional Associate II. Appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted. Required Skills Required Experience Qualifications: Qualifications : · Valid CDA with 12 credits in ECE, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE or a related field with 12 ECE credits, preferred. OR · Enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE or a related field with 12 ECE credits, to be completed within three years of the time of hire. OR · Enrolled in a CDA credential program, and obtain 12 ECE credits to be completed within two years of the time of hire. · Have access to reliable, insured transportation. · Must have or obtain and maintain CT child care first-aid, child CPR, and medication administration certification. · Provide a TVCCA Staff Statement of Good Health statement signed by a physician, physician's assistant, or nurse practitioner completed within twelve (12) months before the date of employment, and every twenty-four (24) months for current staff. · Provide a written report of negative tuberculin test completed within twelve (12) months prior to the date of employment, or for a known prior reactor, no evidence of active tuberculosis on a chest x-ray.
