Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The Floor Scale team requires a safe working, detail-oriented sheet metal fabricator able to operate various pieces of equipment including a sheet metal shear, brake, saw, and machining center. Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated Maintain quality throughout the process Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives Operate fork trucks and cranes Perform daily activities safely Identify and implement safety improvements What You Need to Succeed A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.) Ability to read tape measure Ability to work with fixtures Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations Ability to safely operate a forklift Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality record Good verbal communication skills Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to learn basic computer skills involving SAP and Microsoft Office Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques Ability and drive to meet customer quality and delivery requirements Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment Strong organizational skills with a focus on details Ability to work overtime when required (some on weekends) Our Offer to You Medical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching - all starting on date of hire Tuition reimbursement, employee wellness programs, plus other perks and discounts Parental and caregiver leave policies All the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits Global market strength and worldwide leadership in weighing A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipment About Mettler Toledo Working at Mettler Toledo means you are impacting the world in important ways.
