Jr. Sql /BI Developer

Vaco is looking for a Junior Microsoft SQL Server Developer to join our clients Database & Business Intelligence Systems Team. We're looking for an individual who can balance the ability to be at both subjective and objective and utilize out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to problem solving. The successful candidate will be working on both established systems and new projects, some of which may involve utilizing NoSQL. BI Developer duties and responsibilities Development of SQL Queries against complex data sets. Develop, implement & optimize stored procedures, views and functions using T-SQL Research and identification of required data Analyze existing queries and suggest performance improvements Work with other departments to analyze data needs and implement suggestions BI Developer requirements and qualifications 1-2 year's experience as a SQL Developer or similar role, specializing on T-SQL using Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above 1-2 years experience in understanding the fundamentals of query optimization understanding of SQL programming, especially with regards to T-SQL Knowledge of Windowing functions a plus Knowledge of other BI Tools a plus (e.g. KNIME, Alteryx, Tableau and PowerBI) a plus Experience in C# a plus Experience of Python a plus Experience with DBA duties a plus
