OVERVIEW: Kicking Cancer Foundation is a group of volunteers committed to raising money for cancer research. Our organization is entirely run by volunteers and 100% of our proceeds from events throughout the year is donated. Since our establishment in 2009 - we have donated over $450,000 to cancer research. OPPORTUNITY: Are you looking to make an impact in your local community and nonprofit world? Are you looking to share your skills in creativity, event planning, networking, fundraising? Perhaps you are interested to meet and join like minded indviduals with a passion to address cancer? If you have a few hours a month to volunteer around your schedule - then join us at PKC (Philly Kicking Cancer). We are looking to add an organized, self motivated and passionate member of the board to help with organization finances. The PKC Treasurer's primary responsibilities are: keeping track of bank statements, repeating corporate match deposits, expense planning for our yearly operations (with operations team as needed), supporting tax fillings for the foundation, and other duties as assigned. Most members of the board wear multiple hats on subcommittees working towards the end result of donating as much as possible to cancer research! For PKC Treasurer, we need someone who is skilled in the tasks described above. Board meetings are in the evenings, one to two meeting(s) a month. Meetings are held online and in-person in the south street area of Philadelphia depending on our events schedule. The Kicking Cancer Foundation board consists totally of unpaid volunteers.
