Functional Safety Engineer Category: Engineering Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH- Functional Safety Engineer Scope: Working knowledge of integrating or developing an integration framework using any one of the following or equivalent tools: Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, BOUML, or other Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling tools. Working knowledge of high-end embedded Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)'s such as Linux, Android, etc. Working knowledge of Software Configuration Management (SCM) systems. Working knowledge of a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Working knowledge of ISO26262 Automotive Functional Safety standards processes and tools. Experience working in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows-based databases. Requirements: Four-year College Degree in at least one STEM major (Science; Technology; Engineering; Math) and a minimum of five (5) years of experience; or a minimum of ten (10) years of full life cycle embedded software development in electronics products. Minimum two (2) years leading a team of software engineers with a formal development process such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Extreme Programming. Experience in designing, developing and debugging functional safety software in a real-time embedded environment. Estimated Min Rate: $65.00 Estimated Max Rate: $75.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
