SynergenX Health Holdings, LLC is seeking an experienced and energetic Accounting Manager to join our growing team. SynergenX is the national leader in Hormone Replacement Therapy. The company has 65 facilities where it sees patients in 10 states under the brand names SynergenX, Low-T Centers and HerKare. This role will report to the Corporate Controller and will oversee Accounting Operations for SynergenX and its related companies. This position will partner closely with internal teams to assist and support senior management in decision making. The role is based at our corporate headquarters in Northwest Houston, TX (remote candidates are not being considered). Position Summary: The Accounting Manager position is accountable to assist in day-to-day accounting operations, to include the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk, enhance the productivity of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure that recorded results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The Accounting Manager reports to the CFO. Highly preferred skills: Healthcare experience and accrual based accounting. Exposure to financial audit process. Comfort creating Journal entries. Familiar with accounting for fixed assets. has hands on proven experience managing AP and month end close. Team oriented mindset, ability to delegate and supervise, flexibility and adaptability to a fast paced accounting environment, and ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching to staff with excellent follow up. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and cash management. Assist in year-end financial audit activities. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Establish good communications and relationships with key vendors, staff and outside service providers (tax, audit, bankers). Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships. Lead and manage month-end closing activities, including bank account reconciliations, preparation/review of various JE's and cost center assignments, and distribution of cost center reports and financial statements. Prepare financial statements according to US GAAP including consolidation of financials for our subsidiaries. Coordinate or assist with the annual budget and monthly forecasting process as requested. Analyze and provide meaningful commentary around cost center variances to trend and budget/forecast. Proactively seek out opportunities to implement improved processes, systems and workflows to allow accounting infrastructure to scale. Maintain infrastructure impacting productivity of staff. Lead ad hoc accounting projects as needed. Willing to step in to complete others duties as needed when vacancies occur. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a thorough understanding of accounting software platforms (Sage Intacct); Microsoft Excel (F9 or similar add-in a plus), on-line banking platforms, Power point, and Microsoft Word. Additionally, a comprehensive understanding of electronic health records is preferred but not required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting with Minimum five (5) years of hands-on accounting management accrual based and general accounting with GL, AP and AR, month end close including exposure to financial audit process Leadership skills necessary to lead staff accountants and keep the team on track with the closing schedule Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to accurately apply and use financial and accounting concepts Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-lookups, ).
