Accounting Clerk | Frederick, MD | Contract Why this company? · Aston Carter is hiring for a temporary accounting clerk in Gaithersburg! This is an opportunity to also work directly with a controller. Details: · Location: Frederick, MD · 100% On-site · Monday-Friday · 8am-4:30pm · 2-month contract Necessary Skills · 2+ years of accounting experience. · Solid experience and understanding of AP and AR. · Strong attention to detail, quick learner, team player mentality. · 3-way matching experience in accounts payable. A day in the role... · Process accounts payable transactions. · Obtain approvals required for miscellaneous invoices and enter invoice into the system. · Maintain the AP email box. · File AP invoices. · Process supplier invoices and perform a 3-way match against PO and receiving transactions. · Prepare check run - match invoices and checks for signature, mail signed checks. · Perform filing and maintenance of AP and PR records. · Enter Non-Check AP payments into system. · Process customer invoices and enter them into customer portal. · Send out customer statements. · Follow up on past due customer payments.
