A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HARTWIG APPLICATION ENGINEER: Evaluates manufacturing processes and recommends industry-leading solutions. Develops and tests alternative processing methods. Performs time studies for process improvement recommendations. Provides technical support for customers including programming and machine set-up. Oversees machine installations. Conducts research and assists with presenting proposals to customers. Performs on-site customer programming and machine operation training to customers. Sets up, programs, and demonstrates machine tools for customers. TO JOIN THE HARTWIG TEAM, YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS: Two year degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred. Previous work history including; machining process development, project management, and/or CNC programming. Okuma machine programming experience is preferred. Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options, and functions. Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and background. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with sales to provide customer solutions. Capable of building lasting and trusting relationships with customers. Valid driver/'s license in state of primary residence required.
