Huck's Maintenance- Hourly JOB DESCRIPTION MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE, FULL OR PART TIME 1. Statement of the Job Every full or part time maintenance associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her shift, within company policy, in such a manner as to ensure that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store. 2. The Duties and Responsibilities Are: A. General Management Observes shift operating hours at all times, as assigned by the Store Manager Performs specific tasks as assigned by the Store Manager Follows the work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with Store Manager. Operates shift within company guidelines to achieve sales and profit. Ensures Store Manager is made aware of all sales, cash, or operating discrepancies. B. Bookkeeping Properly records all hours worked on the time sheet and signs verifying all hours worked. C. Human Resources Advises Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance. D. Security Follows company policy with regard to excessive cash in registers, change fund and safe security as directed by Store Manager. Follows company policy with regard to not allowing another associate to operate his or her cash drawer. Shares the responsibility for controlling the inventory on the shift or in the store. Follows company shift change procedures as per company policy. Protects company assets at all times. E. Merchandising Keeps coolers, drink boxes, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted at all times. Properly cleans and maintains equipment as directed by Store Manager. F. Maintenance Keeps store floors clean at all times, with specific responsibility being assigned by the Store Manager Checks refrigeration equipment for proper performance and temperatures a minimum of once per shift. Performs maintenance and or repairs on equipment as directed by Store Manager Cleans windows, floors, showers, shelving, counters, gas pumps and parking lot to ensure they remain clean at all times. Immediately advises Store Manager of any maintenance problems. G. Safety Ensures that ladders are properly used Ensures that lifting procedures are followed per company policy Ensures that wet floor signs are used, per company policy Reports accidents promptly to store manager and corporate office
