What You Will Do: (FRMC) desktop application software, desktop hardware and related components, and for developing related training programs to orient new employees and to enhance the skills of existing employees. Maintains application and network security, and monitors network infrastructure. Provides instruction and advice to staff members from external departments, including Management and Administrative team members. Communicates directly with vendors, acting as an agent of FRMC to resolve problems. These activities occasionally take place on days or at times other than the employee's normally scheduled shift. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of Firelands Regional Medical Center The Network Analyst I will have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Service Desk Supervisor and will receive work assignments from both the Service Desk and Technical Services supervisors. The responsibility for coordination and prioritization of assignments rests with the supervisors. Manages multiple FRMC network resources. Responsible for installation and maintenance of Medical Center workstation and network hardware and software. Generates and maintains appropriate documentation, and tracks and reports progress on all active projects. Makes modifications to network resources to optimize utilization and efficiency at the direction of the Senior Network Analyst. Evaluates, recommends, installs, tests, and manages new network products. Evaluates network resources to determine their ability to support new applications and continued growth of existing applications. Recommends solutions to proactively address looming capacity and/or performance-related problems. Facilitates securing the desktop environment by leading the monitoring and remediation of desktop vulnerabilities. Provides 2nd level support to service desk team in creating and maintaining secure desktop images. Acts as a liaison to ensure that the service desk team gathers the required information to the network team can effectively begin troubleshooting potential network related issues. Assists with the collection and testing of information provided by the service desk to facilitate the troubleshooting process. Mentors the service desk team in their knowledge of network technology and specifically the architectures deployed by FRMC. Evaluates hardware and software function, performance, and utilization issues. Troubleshoots problems and initiates corrective action. Provides Level-1 Service Desk support to FRMC system users, including Medical Center management and administration. Provides technical assistance, training, and ongoing support to fellow Information Services staff, and users of FRMC systems. Establishes appropriate procedures for system utilization. Provides stand-by coverage as scheduled, and subject to call-in as needed. Communicates ideas; understands and interprets other's ideas; demonstrates courtesy, consideration, and patience. Puts organizational goals ahead of personal goals; manages fluctuations in work and schedule requirements effectively; demonstrates initiative and cooperation. What You Will Need: Associate's Degree in related field, or 2 years of equivalent career experience. Hardware certification of any type, or Microsoft Windows and/or Microsoft Office certification, is a plus. Demonstrates willingness, ability and availability to attend training as requested by supervisor or manager. Demonstrates ability to implement learned skills and abilities through "on the job" efforts and/or professional certifications. Achieves professional certifications as requested by manager or supervisor in accordance with all Fireland's training policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to install, support, and train others in the proper use and care of various computer-related equipment, such as (but not limited to) PCs/workstations, printers, scanners, bar code readers, etc. Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to install, support, and train others in the proper use of various desktop applications, data storage and reporting methods, software utilities and tools, and principles of information management. Demonstrates ability to grasp new and technical concepts quickly, and stay current with technology. Demonstrates analytical abilities, creativity, and attentiveness to detail. Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment. Result oriented, with strong leadership skills. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form. Demonstrates ability and willingness to generate and maintain necessary documentation.
