Context We're looking for a new Track Design Engineer in our Infrastructure Group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them. As a SYSTRA US Track Design Engineer you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget. Missions/Main Duties Duties and Responsibilities: Manages scope, schedule and budget on track engineering projects Prepares designs, technical proposals and cost estimates Interfaces with clients Works with sector managers to coordinate resources and deliverables Oversees designs prepared by track engineering staff Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget Plans, organizes and supervises the work of a staff of junior engineers and technicians Grow and mentor staff, help recruit and be a positive role model Assists with writing proposals and making presentations Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies Profile/Skills Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering 10+ years of experience in track design of major transit/rail engineering transportation projects PE License in Illinois Experience working with local transit agencies Good verbal and written communication skills Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates Strong Working Knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, RailTrack, OpenRail and Civil 3D Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software Preferred Qualifications: PE License in multiple states Member of AREMA/ASCE/APTA Advanced degree(s) SYSTRA USA provides a benefits package including medical, dental, 401k and other offerings that focus on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. Salary Range: $114,540-160,355, SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
