Salary: $43,888.00 Annually Location : OH 45662, OH Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: Division: Advancement and Enrollment Management Department: AEM-Admissions Opening Date: 10/10/2024 Closing Date: 10/23/2024 9:33 AM Eastern Job Description Summary JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT The Associate Recruiter is responsible for managing student recruitment efforts within an assigned geographic area (greater Columbus) for Shawnee State University. This role focuses on engaging prospective students and guiding them through the application and enrollment process. The position involves coordinating recruitment activities, building relationships with referral sources, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new students. This is a one (1) year term appointment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities FUNCTIONS: Recruitment, admissions and enrollment Onboarding coordination Performance management Maintain area of specialty DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES : Generate New Student Applications to Meet Established Funnel and Enrollment Goals Plan, develop, and implement recruitment programs, ensuring timely and effective communication with prospective students. Conduct individual and group presentations about SSU's programs, admission processes, campus life, financial aid, and more. Organize and participate in recruitment events such as college fairs, school visits, and community outreach activities. Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, and follow up with prospective students to encourage application and enrollment. Onboarding Coordination Assist admitted students with pre-class preparations, including financial aid, assessments, registration, and campus resources. Maintain regular contact with admitted and registered students to support retention. Connect students with campus resources like career services, student success, and veteran's services. Performance Management Set and track performance goals for recruitment and conversion metrics. Maintain records of communication with prospective and current students. Review and manage reports related to recruitment activities, projections, and outcomes. Maintain Area of Specialty Develop and maintain expertise in a specific area such as Athletics, Operations, Diversity, or specific academic programs. Minimum Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong relationship-building and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team. Strong human relation skills for presentations, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution. Ability to compose professional correspondence and reports. Strong recruitment, sales, and customer service skills with a goal-oriented and self-motivated approach. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE) Bachelor's degree in related field (business, communications, public relations, marketing, counseling) Sales and relationship development experience preferred.
