OverviewHome Health Aide - Akron, OhioMonday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-1pm As an In Home Aide with Your Home Court Advantage, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our patients by providing assistance with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with our healthcare team to deliver personalized care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care as neededA successful Home Health-care Aide provides personal care services under the direction and supervision of the Registered NurseAbility to follow a care planMeal preparation/feedingLaundryLight HousekeepingKnows and follows infection control policies including proper hand washing techniques.Reports any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.Documents care provided and completes the forms required for the client's records. Completes the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Does not use equipment until orientation has been provided. Notifies supervisor of educational municates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.Treats patients and families with respect. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.Accepts and fulfills assignments with the agency. Exercise good judgment in accepting assignments.Participates in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements. Identifies learning needs to agency supervisor.Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary QualificationsMeet the training and/or certification requirements of the state in which the home health aide services are being provided. This includes specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.Active and verifiable State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant CNA certification in applicable state OR 1 year of supervised, verifiable experience within the last 3 years.Be at lease eighteen (18) years of age.Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.Good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need.Current driver's license, good driving record, and/or reliable transportation is required.1 + years of experience is highly preferred.Frequent standing walking, stopping/bending infrequent squatting/kneeling and balancingWeight handled: push, force required: 30 - 50 lbs (at times)
