We have an outstanding Contract position for a Machinist to join a leading Company located in the Baltimore, MD surrounding area.Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.00Job Responsibilities: Machinist will work in a prototype, development, and production support machine shop responsible for making one -off, precision details. Primarily will be responsible for operating 3 -axis CNC vertical milling machines, which includes reviewing N/C code, setting up tooling, and performing all machining operations. Must also be able to operate a manual vertical mill, brake press, bandsaw, and basic shop tools. Basic Hiring Criteria:High School Diploma or equivalent. Equivalent of (4) years of high school plus (4) years of trades training. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, understand GD&T, and follow manufacturing process plans. Machine variety of materials - plastics/ composites/ aluminum/ carbon steel/ stainless steel/ titanium/ Inconel. Review N/C programming code and provide feedback to the programmer if modifications are required. Independently set up tooling and prepared workpiece per provided requirements.Desired Qualifications:Minimum of 5 - 10 years of relevant experience is preferred. Manual lathe experience a plus.Benefits offered vary by contract.
