Hillandale Farms, Hillandale Farms , CT farms are adding a Lead Processing Associate. The Lead - Processing Associate is primarily responsible for filling in for the absence of the Plant Manager and assisting the Plant Manager in day-to-day activities of the Shell Egg Processing Plant . Essential Job Functions Oversee staffing needed to run the daily activities of the Processing Plant. Works directly with USDA, maintenance and office personnel as needed. Lead employees in a professional and respectful manner in order to be efficient and productive. Assure shipping labels are ready and available to employees. Complete all necessary documentation as needed. Complete quality checks on product. Assure all machinery is in good operating order and if not, notify maintenance personnel immediately. Assign Packer assignments for the shift. Learn all Processing Plant positions, i.e. Packer, Line/Rail Associate, Machine Operator, etc. in order to perform such position in the event of the need for coverage. Assure the Plant is clean at the end of day and ready for the next day processing. Assist Manager with special projects as requested. Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. At least two years of related experience preferred. An understanding of a manufacturing plants processes. Strong attention to detail required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bi-lingual preferred. Excellent people management, organizational skills and attention to detail. Works well under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and Hillandale team members. Physical Requirements Prolonged standing; bending, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting overhead Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
