Job Type Full-time Description Medix Infusion is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Addison. In this role, you will help the accounting team maintain a steady flow of business operations by ensuring all vendor accounts are reconciled and up to date. Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform dedicated to enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies. We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially those in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient's journey as smooth as possible. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Management: Process incoming vendor invoices and expenses, coding them per account and cost center according to internal accounting policies and procedures. Process payments for vendor invoices and expenses, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Review and verify vendor statements regularly (at least monthly). Assist in the monthly financial close-out process. Monitor vendor accounts for timely and accurate receipt of invoices and subsequent payments. Respond to vendor inquiries and address past due billings. Reconcile billing discrepancies with vendors. Process credit card payments through vendor imports into the accounting system, ensuring data accuracy. Complete year-end reporting as assigned. Assist in providing information and reports for the annual financial audit as needed. General Accounting Processes: Maintain associated Excel spreadsheets. Assist with requests for payment verification and status. Perform month-end close and record reconciliation. Ensure proper compliance with accounting procedures, including reviewing and analyzing vendor payments and account management. Prepare reports as requested using manual methods and/or computer systems. Assist with the fiscal year audit. Conduct research on issues as required. Perform other duties as needed and subject to change at any time. Required Qualifications: 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience. High School Diploma or 2 years of undergraduate education preferred. A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment, as evidenced by positive references from previous and current employers. Excellent interpersonal skills when interacting with Medix Infusion staff, vendors, and patients. Ability to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Medix Infusion team. Competence in using company email, Microsoft Teams, and navigating the company website for policies and electronic medical records. Proficiency in the use of company self-service payroll software (time and attendance, benefits, pay statements). Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to navigate Internet Explorer. Familiarity with typing, word processing (Microsoft Outlook/Express, Word, Excel), and office equipment. Will become proficient in the operation of Intact. Sensitivity to cultural and language differences.
