Position Overview: As a Manufacturing Engineer , you will be responsible for driving production improvements and managing projects to implement new processes on the manufacturing floor. You will play a key role in fostering innovation and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment by using a practical, hands-on approach. Key Responsibilities: Provide production and technical support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Identify and lead safe, sustainable improvements to processes, equipment, and technology to support operational metrics and company goals. Document changes and process information for training, troubleshooting, and general dissemination. Utilize your mechanical skills to make repairs, implement solutions, and complete work orders through the maintenance system. Research, recommend, and justify capital equipment expenditures aligned with department and company goals. Lead multiple engineering projects simultaneously to support continuous improvement efforts within Operations. Understand key metrics and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts that drive excellence across the organization. Manage project teams and document the project management process using departmental goals and project management software. Use scientific approaches, including Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies, to identify and resolve issues. Provide exceptional internal customer support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant. Sustain 6S programs within production cells, supporting team members and reporting variations to leadership. Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety policies and proactively contributing to the safety of others. Perform additional support work as requested by plant leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. 1-3 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations, ideally in a 24/7 process environment. Proven ability to lead small technical improvement projects aimed at enhancing reliability or efficiency. Proficiency in 3D CAD systems such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Strong team-oriented communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, with a preference for leading continuous improvement projects. Exposure to automated systems, vision systems, robotics (e.g., Fanuc, Techman), troubleshooting, and machining/electrical build capabilities.
