Title: Computer Vision Engineer Location: Onsite at Cincinnati, OH Duration: 3-6 Months Contract to Hire Summary: As a computer vision engineer, you will work on a dynamic team designing, implementing, and creating artificial intelligence processes to ensure the quality of jet engine components including non-destructive testing modality, design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to accelerate NDE productivity. Collaborate with other image analytics experts and software developers to create robust assisted defect recognition (ADR) algorithms to ensure part quality with high reliability. You will work with the latest aerospace part designs and materials systems and work with the design teams to define inspection solutions and enable future productivity strategies. Software development projects include cloud computing, parallelization, computational optimization, and object-oriented design and could include many other artificial intelligence techniques. Responsibilities: Explore and analyze unstructured data such as Computed Tomography (CT)/Xray images or ultrasonic images through image processing. Work with the imaging and AI team to research, evaluate and optimize various computer vision and deep learning algorithms. Develop models to solve industrial problems Execute and provide guidance for the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices, and procedures and the product/program requirements. Institute collaboration practices between self-organizing and cross-functional teams. Apply appropriate regression testing methods to inspection software releases. Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization; lead and participate in the technical reviews with limited guidance from senior engineers. Demonstrate ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments as appropriate. Assure proper documentation of technical data or programs generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. Understanding about depth and breadth of computer vision and deep learning algorithms. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or in related fields (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant engineering or strong technical knowledge and experience in computer vision) Good to have an Advanced degree MS or PhD Image processing and computer vision experience for object detection, classification, and segmentation in the industrial domain. Experiences with Rhythm, VG Studio, and Avizo software platforms experience; Matlab, Python/NumPy, or other engineering scripting languages Advanced knowledge in performance, scalability, and best practices for deploying computer vision solutions. Experience leading development teams for the design of software architectures and incorporation of customer requirements with a focus on quality. Troubleshoot local area network connected multi-computing environments. Ability to guide and influence others. In-depth understanding of engineering technology, tools, and computer operating systems Demonstrated software coding capabilities and computer networking/security capabilities in a production environment. Experience in a non-destructive testing environment.
