Job Title : L&E Legal Assistant Location: Portland, Oregon Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office/2 remote after 60 day training period) Salary: $75,000-$90,000 Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our client's team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administrative support, particularly in Oregon labor and employment law and litigation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, familiarity with legal documentation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Prepare, revise, finalize, and file legal documents, including pleadings, and coordinate attorney and court working notebooks Provide word processing support, including transcription, formatting, proofreading, editing, and document comparison using specialized software Manage timekeeping and billing by entering and proofreading time entries, processing client invoices, and resolving billing issues Communicate effectively with clients and outside counsel, coordinate document signatures, and assist with scheduling client meetings and travel arrangements Collaborate with the practice assistant team to provide support during high workload periods or absences and participate in team meetings Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, scan, copy, and transmit documents, and request conflict reports as needed Support attorneys by managing calendars, monitoring court deadlines, scheduling meetings, and tracking Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, scheduling conference rooms, etc. Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in legal administrative support Previous experience with Oregon labor and employment law Familiarity with state and federal court procedures, including e-filing Ability to type 50+ words per minute and strong proofreading, grammar, and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and provide exceptional client service in high-pressure environments Familiarity with law firm software such as iManage, Adobe Acrobat, Chrome River, Carpe Diem, Paperless Proforma, Intapp, Meeting Room Manager, Box, Workshare Compare, Metadata Assistant, WestlawNext, WestCheck, and InterAction is preferred Benefits: Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and long term disability.
