Even though we are the largest self-directed services provider in Maryland with over 2,300 Participant employers enrolled statewide, our Self-Directed Services team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with IDD in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice. Expanding our administrative capacity when it comes to streamlining payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting processes is essential to helping us live up to our mission. As we build the future of self-direction in Maryland, the Vendor Compliance Specialist, Accounts Payable will be a key member of the Self-Directed Services division by supporting the Accounts Payable team to ensure vendors are set up in FMSE correctly and ensure all contract standards are met. The Vendor Compliance Specialist will collaborate with the Accounts Payable Manager, Participant employers, and vendors to resolve any issues regarding vendor compliance. The Vendor Compliance Specialist ensures all required 1099 information is setup in the system accurately and collaborates with Accounts Payable leadership to generate 1099 reports and facilitate the issuance of annual 1099s to recipients. This role facilitates the onboarding and profile creation for all vendors in our systems, reviews invoices and other vendor reimbursements according to contract requirements around availability of funds and proper justification documentation, and reviews AP entries for accuracy before disbursements are prepared. Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to be a team player. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Payable or Financial Reporting. A bachelor's degree in business is preferred.
