Job Details Job Location COOLIDGE FP - COOLIDGE, AZ Position Type Full-time Job Shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday Description STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Community Outreach is the process of communication, promotion and education to communities, stakeholders and individuals regarding the organization and its services, the availability of medical assistance programs, and the organizations resources for enrollment and/or assistance with the application process. The Outreach & Enrollment Specialist is responsible to assist with outreach and promotion of the organization's programs and services. Job responsibility includes application assistance interviews with clients, screening for financial qualification for state or federally funded Medical Assistance, federally facilitated insurance marketplace or Discount Programs, as well as participation in community relations activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance and safety standards within the department Educate families about the availability of publicly financed health care programs and insurance options through the federally facilitated marketplace, and organization's sliding fee discount programs, and provide application assistance to by performing eligibility screening including compiling necessary documentation Educate families about the availability of programs offering free or low cost prescription medications, and provide application assistance by performing eligibility screening for the programs including compiling necessary documentation Educate families about the availability of nutrition assistance programs, and provide application assistance by performing eligibility screening for the program including compiling necessary documentation Update files daily to reflect the status of the application, and coordinate with agencies to expedite the eligibility determination of applicants Manage appointment schedule to maximize client intake appointments for the department. Reschedule clients when necessary Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalency associate degree in related field preferred Minimum three year's experience working in a responsible position where the primary emphasis included contact with the public Strong familiarity with human service agencies servicing low-income and minority populations. COMPENSATION: Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 ***Compensation is dependent on relevant years and months experience***
