Identify goals for treatment. Create and carry out an individualized plan that addresses specific functional needs. To help coordinate speech, hearing and language services for the school, home and community. To be involved in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans for students when appropriate. Qualifications: NYS Certification as a Speech and Language Disabilities Teacher NYS Professional Speech Pathologist License Knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional strategies Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team Benefits: Membership in the appropriate retirement system, health insurance, sick and personal leave.
