Job Details Job Location Ashford Oaks Office - San Antonio, TX Education Level Associates Degree Travel Percentage Negligible Job Shift Day Description The overall purpose of the Regional MDS Coordinator position is to ensure appropriate reimbursement of Medicare and/or Medicaid Patients through the Patient Assessment Instrument (RAI) process. Assists in the management of quality Patient care on a continuing basis in accordance with federal and state standards. Essential Functions: Review and coordinate Medicaid and Medicare Case Mix data for the region Validate MDS coding, ICD-10 coding and RUG groupers Conduct detailed review of documentation to assist in accurate MDS 3.0 completion to ensure the appropriate level of reimbursement through accurate resident assessment Assess current processes and evaluate compliance with company standards, as well as Long Term Care regulations Provide education to licensed and non-licensed staff Identify opportunities and make recommendations as needed Qualifications Qualifications: Must have a current RN/LVN license Medicaid or Medicare MDS Nurse 3 - 5 years MDS/RAI experience required Case Mix Management experience required in a long term care setting Must maintain current CPR certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent computer software skills Ability to multi-task and oversee multi-facility functions on a daily basis Ability to direct and lead staff of multiple facilities We are an Equal opportunity employer; We offer an excellent benefit plan to include 401K with match, CEU reimbursement, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance Plans as well as a Highly competitive compensation package. #IND_Cantex
