Job Details Job Location Ridgeview Institute Smyrna - Smyrna, GA Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Salary Range $21.00 - $24.00 Hourly Job Shift Day Job Category Accounting Description JOIN OUR TEAM AS A Payment Poster Specialist! The Payment Poster Specialist is responsible for posting, verifying, and reconciling all payments and adjustments. They verify and reconcile payments and explain benefits to ensure deposit balances to the treasury before posting. They post payments and adjustments appropriately to accounts and perform all other duties as assigned. The candidate should be able to understand balances in the AR system for collecting insurance amounts and adjust the account balance appropriately in the system. Key job functions include but not limited to: Identify payor issues proactively in relation to zero payment, payment variance, billing, and denials with a high degree of accuracy and report to Management Maintain and balance cash log daily to treasury Posts all checks, ERAs, and credit cards to accounts accurately and timely Ensures payments, allowances, adjustments, denials, and rejections are posted correctly Research and clear unapplied payments Able to read and understand an EOB Code and post all receivables from insurance companies and third-party payors on patient accounts Note: The essential job functions of this position are not limited to the duties listed above . Your Experience Matters What we're looking for: Education : High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Experience . A minimum of two (2) years experience in a healthcare environment posting payments or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a healthcare business office environment. General math skills/proficient in 10-key calculator. Experience with computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred. Additional Requirements : The candidate must have basic Microsoft Excel skills. They must also have excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. The candidate must be detail-oriented and possess strong time management skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The candidate may be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours. Compensation: This is a Full-Time , non-exempt hourly role, and the compensation is between $21.00 and $24.00/hour plus a monthly bonus opportunity .
