The Licensed Psychologist (LP)/Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) conducts diagnostic evaluations for children who may have autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This position also provides supervision, consultation, & support for our NC Research-Based Behavioral Health Treatment (RB-BHT) program, serving as the Licensed Qualified Autism Service Provider (LQASP) in accordance with NC Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy 8F.I. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSConduct assessments, analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reportsDiagnose and provide treatment recommendationsProvide post evaluation feedback to clientsCoordinate with clinical and intake /admission personnel to ensure timely and otherwise appropriate client access to careCollaborate with BCBAs on the development and oversight of client treatment planning and outcomesProvide training, supervision, and support for BCBAs or other direct therapy staffParticipate in other administrative &quality improvement initiatives as neededAdheres to agency's standards for quality, timeliness, and productivityCompletes all evaluations as scheduled by the Intake and Admissions DepartmentII. JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB EVALUATION DOCUMENTATIONEDUCATION/KNOWLEDG/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Master's Degree in Clinical PsychologyCurrent NC licensureStrong working knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of neuro-developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)Prior experience in completing evaluations for children with ASD, IDD, and other Neuro-Developmental disordersTraining in and competence with tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, DISCO, CARS, or other known evidence-based toolsExcellent communication and clinical writing skillsSolid organizational and time management skillsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSEnergetic and outgoing with a passion for ABI's missionMust be an excellent communicator who is accessible and able to balance the needs of clients, employees and organizations with equal skill and thoughtfulnessAdaptable and self-motivated with excellent communication skillsStrong adherence to HIPPA requirementsReliable internet connection to input behavioral data consistently is requiredMust be willing to undergo and pass a drug screening and background checksTravel is requiredIII. PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENTWORK LOCATION AND TRAVELLocal, state and regional travel will be required from time to time.
