Job Description PAYROLL and TAX ANALYST Under the direction of the Payroll Director, the Payroll and Tax Analyst ensures accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with internal policies/procedures and with the payroll production schedule. In addition, the Payroll and Tax Analyst focuses heavily on payroll tax administration, ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations, and assisting employees, cohorts, and management with payroll tax issues and inquiries. The Payroll and Tax Analyst role is hands-on, performing a variety of functions in a fast-paced and high-volume department, with a focus on providing excellent service to our 8,000+ associates among our 130+ hotels and 15+ legal entities. Essential Functions: General Payroll Administration Assist in the collection, validation, balancing and export of pay data files to ADP Directly interface with ADP to ensure that payroll data is provided accurately and efficiently Communicate and coordinate with hotel contacts regarding payroll and timekeeping items Review and audit payroll data and reports (pre and post) Generate and prepare payroll reports including custom/Excel reports Provide Tier 3 payroll support to associates and hotel leaders Assist with off-cycle payroll processing and manual payments Participate in Internal/ADP meetings related to administration of payroll Answer questions from corporate and field contacts related to payroll systems, policies, and processing Research and resolve payroll errors, issues, and escalations in a timely manner Assist with payroll accounting tasks as needed including research of payroll/GL variances Special projects as needed Payroll Tax Administration Employer and employee tax setup (Fed, SIT, SUI, and local) Serve as a primary point of contact for internal/external payroll tax questions and escalations Respond to employee and management payroll tax inquiries, providing timely resolutions Assist with the preparation and review of payroll tax adjustments, amendments, and SUI rate changes In collaboration with ADP, establish new state and local tax accounts Research and interpret payroll tax laws and requirements Perform local payroll tax research and lookups Review and audit employer and employee tax set ups and transactions Research, resolve, and track payroll tax agency notices, including legacy notices and issues Quarter-end and year-end payroll tax planning, review, and reporting, including IRS Form 8027 Review federal and state payroll tax returns (941/940, W2, SIT, SUI, local, etc.) Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Tax, Accounting, and HR Consult with ADP on payroll tax matters Location Description Remington is a dynamic, growing, independent hotel management company with over 40 years of experience in the hospitality business. Requirements Minimum of two (2) years of multi-state payroll tax experience in a company with multiple EIN's Experience with US payroll tax laws and regulations including local taxes (PA, OH, etc.) ADP experience is highly desirable, specifically SmartCompliance and Workforce Manager Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred Proficient in Excel Excellent planning and organization skills; strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet strict deadlines Ability to work well independently and within a team Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel
