Responsibilities Include: This role also delivers project management, business operations, organizational change management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement planning and execution across the larger business operations unit to create integration, greater alignment, and shared efficiencies across the Department. Leadership of project support planning, integration, and execution of plans and associated tactics. This work includes development of a requirements management plan, risk registry, stakeholder engagement /communication plan, oversight of the content for an office Share Point site, Microsoft Teams and other tactics that extend across a suite of products and services. Day-to-day project management; planning and execution on a range of workstreams including: requirements collections and analysis, spend plan development, budget management, program management reviews, product management, data calls, content development and logistics coordination for governance meetings, PMO meeting facilitation, development of standard operating procedures, management of stakeholder distribution lists, meeting minutes, and various reporting-related activities to the government. Advanced project management experience such as developing and creating integrated master schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), defining and sequencing activities, estimating activity resources and durations, and developing and controlling schedule. Development and management of data analytics for project, including the management of development of performance metrics and reporting. Development, editorial support, and oversight for message strategies, copy content, creative/graphics and branding for deliverables such as: technical documents, one-pagers, fact sheets, executive communications, and emails as well as creative direction for a variety of communications templates. Ability to read and interpret government policy, regulations, and directives and to apply those to activities in accordance with contractual requirements. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with program managers. Requirements 8+ years of relevant experience and training. Experience and comfort level communicating in emails, by phone, in writing and in person with senior executive leadership within the federal government. MBA or Master's degree is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) or DHS Level 3 Program Manager certification is preferred. Experience in strategic communications and development of communications deliverables preferred. Experience performing data analysis and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Proven experience supporting the day-to-day strategic communications requirements of a project management office within the government sector. Direct client management and interaction within a PMO that has multiple service leads/points-of-contact, operating against multiple strategic business objectives, in a complex, highly technical environment. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communicator and ability to communicate effectively with senior executive personnel (SES or Flag Officer level) Hands-on experience managing multiple projects with a clear understanding and demonstrated application of project management methodologies (processes, best practices, tools). Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and review work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements. Demonstrated situational awareness and professionalism for 100% client site delivery. Client and service oriented. Technical writing/editorial experience. Fluency with project management tools and methodologies. SharePoint site management experience preferred. Bachelor's degree program in social science, business, science, engineering, IT systems, or related field.
