Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced Estimator to work with a local manufacturing company. The Estimator is responsible for gathering, calculating and compiling structural steel and miscellaneous metals data for use in estimates and preparing routine estimates under general terested candidates should have an Associate's degree in Estimating or Bachelor's degree in Construction and 2-3 years' of estimating experience. Pay $22-24/hour DOE Responsibilities: -Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates as assigned -Complete estimates in agreed upon time frame -Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier quotations or scheduling input as required for the assignments -Participate in plan review and estimate reviews for respective projects -Assist in compiling historical cost data for projects -Collaborate with Architects/Engineers to request clarifications or additional information -Complete pre-construction survey and other preliminary documents -Perform majority of quantity surveys and pricing estimates -Prepare vendor proposal comparison and estimate summary sheets -Develop and complete project schedule Working hours: Various Shifts Available Skills: See below Education: Associate Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications: -Associate's degree in Estimating or Bachelor's degree in Construction -Management or equivalent experience -2-3 years' of estimating experience -Experience with structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferable To be considered, please apply /apply If you have any questions please contact Michael Smith at Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
