Description Inland Waters LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Mechanic with a valid CDL license in Johnston, RI ,with experience repairing and maintaining trucks and heavy equipment, to perform preventative and non-scheduled maintenance on various types of equipment. Inland Waters is based in Johnston, RI , but projects are located across New England and throughout New York State. Field staff gets the exciting opportunity to travel, with all expenses paid.? We're seeking an Experienced Mechanic in Johnston, RI ,with experience repairing and maintaining trucks and heavy equipment, to perform preventative and non-scheduled maintenance on various types of equipment. We are currently offering a limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license, and sign-on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout. The starting pay is $35.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience. Complete repairs and regular maintenance on a variety of equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, robotics, high-pressure water pumps, and other relevant components. Conduct thorough inspections of brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other crucial parts to ensure optimal operational conditions. Use measuring and diagnostic tools to evaluate and test equipment, making adjustments, conducting tests, and performing repairs, Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, maintaining detailed daily maintenance and repair records. Move machinery as needed, Manage inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including proper upkeep of tools and equipment. What We Need from You: Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience, with previous experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, high-pressure pumps, and ASE certification. Knowledge and understanding of diesel and gas engines, and hydraulic systems. CDL Class A or B preferred. Extensive travel is required. Proficient in the use of online systems and computer software.
