This role is critical in maintaining the functionality and safety of our heavy equipment fleet by diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Service and repair all types of heavy equipment to ensure proper working condition. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment malfunctions. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding equipment issues and repair needs. Complete required paperwork for maintenance and repairs in a timely manner. Travel within a 150-mile radius of our Bath, PA shop for field service as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. The ideal candidate should possess: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a heavy equipment mechanic. Technical training or trade school certification in heavy equipment repair is highly desirable. Must own a complete set of tools for heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Possession of a Class B CDL or willingness to obtain one is a plus. Ability to pass a DOT Physical Examination and maintain a valid medical card. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed. Strong understanding of equipment safety and a high level of safety consciousness. Excellent diagnostic skills for complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Strong communication skills and ability to understand job assignments and instructions.
