Overview: Effort is to support the DLA J34 Support Contract to address the F-35 transition Logistics Information Technology solution to enable service-led sustainment. Job will include working with multiple Defense organizations to translate supply chain and logistics information technology systems and support the transition of the F-35 to Service-led sustainment. This role will support USAF logistics transformation utilizing cutting-edge technologies, and streamline and accelerate processes. Responsibilities: Position Expectations: Navigate transfer of sustainment activities Assist in risk management Apply deep logistics subject matter expertise to leverage the Defense Automated Addressing System (DAAS) to manage consumable supplies Actively engage, make informed decisions, be accountable for all outcomes, and be a positive influence and LMI ambassador Deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients, partners, teammates Contribute to the programs and initiatives designed to advance company strategic priorities Apply advanced analytical methods to assist the client organization in making better, data-driven decisions as well as solving complex problems Responsibilties: Responsible for interpreting and communicating logistics, supply chain, and weapon systems analysis to support logistics operations, including math modeling, logistics operations research, and systems analysis and programming supporting Log IT transition support Evaluate logistics processes and develop recommendations for system improvements in Log IT transition Use analytical models to assess operational capability, compute spare parts requirements, compute stock leveling, and maintenance/levels of repair Provide sustainment requirements and cost estimates Support maintenance planning concepts and analyze and deliver recommendations for adjustment which include areas for improvement in optimizing maintenance intervention to meet supportability and affordability goals Deliver recommendations for adjustment of supply support concepts which include identification of areas for improvements in manufacturing processes which reduce customer wait times and pipeline spares Analyze and assess government agency logistics and supply chain policies and procedures against current performance metrics and make recommendations on policy and/or process improvements. Support projects that re-design or enhance system support via supply chains Support fleet introduction and sustainment readiness reviews with an understanding of program documentation and planning Maintain interim operating procedures to support requirements in a client approved database developed for support of site activation Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Required Education, Experience, & Skills: BS degree in any Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Logistics, or Engineering-related discipline or a BS degree and at least 15 years experience in military aviation logistics and/or supply chain management. At least 10 years experience in military aviation logistics and/or supply chain management Knowledge of commercially-based advanced modeling, networking, scheduling and inventory optimization systems and techniques in order to support development of supply, inventory management, and distribution policy Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Superior communication skills, both oral and written High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities Must be available for occasional travel Applicants must hold a current U.S. Government SECRET clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Masters Degree in any Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Logistics or Engineering related discipline Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management certificates and expertise. Lean Six Sigma or other comparable process improvement expertise and certification. Applicants currently holding or eligible for TOP SECRET or TS/SCI clearance desired #LI-SH1
