As a Senior Auditor at Zupka & Associates, you will be instrumental in planning and conducting audits and review procedures for our varied clientele. You will collaborate closely with our Partners and Managers, enhancing client relationships and contributing to the growth of new business opportunities. This role requires a combination of independence, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Compensation: Salary Range: Starting at $70,000+ based on experience Insurance: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (100% employer-paid) Retirement: 401(k) Matching Bonuses: Performance-Based Bonuses Work-Life Balance: Reduced summer work weeks Responsibilities •Plan and execute audits and review procedures for governmental and non-profit clients, including the preparation of financial statements. •Engage directly with Partners and Managers on client and engagement management issues. •Communicate effectively with clients' internal accounting and auditing departments to ensure exceptional service delivery. •Assist in reinforcing existing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. •Mentor and develop staff accountants, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment. Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in accounting. •Minimum of 3 years of experience in external audit within public accounting, or a combination of governmental public accounting and review/compilation of GAAP financial statements. •Strong understanding of governmental accounting and auditing standards. •Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively with a high degree of accuracy. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). •Willingness to travel using a personal vehicle for work at client offices, meetings, or seminars, including frequent daily travel and occasional overnight stays.
