The Impact You Will Make The Vice President, Asset Management and FP&A is responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of the location portfolio of Everstory Partners. This position is tasked with managing the lifecycle of all company assets from acquisition and operations to maintenance and renewal. The role will work with operations management to implement an efficient and effective capital investment program. The VP will also lead the FP&A team and be responsible for providing direction and hands on oversight to the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Asset Management Use field management input, industry analysis/benchmarking, accounting, financial analysis to analyze operations, business plans, capital investments, sales & marketing plans and strategic alternatives. Provide input on the development of a large capital expenditure budget and manage the strategic deployment of the budget. Formulate and make recommendations to the Executive Committee for short- and long-term strategic plans for the location assets. Keep current on all markets affecting the death care industry and specifically the markets in which the assets are situated, including supply and demand changes and trends. Examine and monitor the operating performance of the assets to ensure the return on investment in each asset is maximized; create a grading system to rank assets and partner with field leadership to complete rankings. Partner with field leadership to understand inventory needs by location and develop a deployment strategy for inventory. Financial Planning and Analysis Prepare investment summaries and make recommendations for major location expenditures, prepare and present to Board, bond holders and Potential investors. Lead the annual budgeting process for operational budgets, G&A budgets, cash flow budgets, field budgets, etc. Create a strategy to document, inventory and many heavy equipment at the location sites. Lead a team responsible for financial analysis and reporting; assist and coach the team to identify issues early and allow time to react and course correct. Provide support to the field operations team on monthly review calls, quarterly in-person business reviews and union negotiation analysis. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field, Master's Degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in asset management or similar field with a proven track record of enhancing asset performance and implementing successful asset management strategies with a multi-state portfolio. Must have exposure to development, site acquisitions and existing building acquisitions. Strong knowledge of financial terms and principles; ability to conduct complex financial analysis. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills are required. Demonstrates sound judgment, ability to analyze and solve problems involving multiple factors in various situations. Strong inter-personal and customer service skills with the ability to maintain effective professional relationships at all levels. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficient with all Microsoft applications and experience with property management software.
