Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. The Senior Electrical Engineer will drive the development of cutting-edge marine solutions and leverage extensive experience in electrical engineering, with a strong emphasis on high-voltage systems (about 400V), and showcase expertise in electronics, power systems, CAD tools, and signal processing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, and contribute to advanced development projects. Proficiency in high-voltage, low-voltage, intermediate voltage, and power systems is crucial for success. Strong communication skills for international collaboration, are required. What you'll be doing:Design, develop, and test electrical systems, components, and products, emphasizing safety across voltage levels, including high-voltage systems (about 400V)Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentationUtilize your electronics expertise to design and troubleshoot electronic circuits.Apply your knowledge of electrical systems to ensure efficient comprehensive power managementProficiency in CAD tools for electrical design and simulation, streamlining the design processLeverage your signal processing skills for applications like filtering, data analysis, and signal conditioningCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocolsConduct feasibility studies and risk assessments, focusing on voltage-specific safety measuresTroubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, implementing voltage-specific safety solutionsStay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices for safety across voltage levels.Lead the selection and procurement of electrical components and materials, considering voltage-specific safety.Provide technical support, emphasizing voltage-specific safety practicesContribute to project planning and budgeting, integrating voltage-specific safety measuresSupervise junior engineers, emphasizing safety practices across voltage levelsPerforms other duties as requiredWhat you need to be successful:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldPh.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field (considered part of 15+ years of experience)15+ years of electrical engineering experience, with a preference for mobility products and marine industry experience, which is a great plusProficiency in electrical design software and tools for high-voltage, low-voltage, intermediate voltage, and power systems including DC/DC, AC/DC converter.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit theory, and power distribution with a safety focusFamiliarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety compliance across voltage levelsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a safety-conscious mindsetEffective communication and teamwork abilities, especially for voltage-specific safety communication and international collaboration with teams, including Japan.Strong attention to detail and independence, prioritizing safetyPossession of high-voltage operator certificates for high-voltage system workProfessional engineering license (PE) is a plusDon't meet every single requirement?
