A rapidly growing client of ours is looking for a Purchasing Manager to sit onsite in their northern Minneapolis, MN facility. The Purchasing Manager will have full management and oversight of the procurement, warehousing, and shipping teams and will be a critical leader for this organization's expansion projects. The successful candidate will be highly experienced in purchasing various electronic & electrical components and managing high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities:Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute purchasing strategies specifically focused on electronic components such as circuit boards, connectors, and other critical parts. Drive cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.Order Management: Oversee the complete purchasing cycle for electrical and electronic components, from order placement to delivery. Ensure timely receipt and alignment with production ventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels of electronic components, including circuit boards, to prevent shortages or overstock situations.Supplier Performance: Track supplier performance metrics (quality, delivery times, cost savings) and maintain a reliable supply pliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry standards, legal regulations, ITAR restrictions, and the company's Quality Management System.Data Analysis: Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and procurement data to make informed sourcing decisions. Forecast future needs for electronic components based on production demands.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased components meet all technical requirements.Reporting: Generate reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives to present to senior management.Management: Oversee the purchasing, stockroom, and shipping departments, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development to team members.ERPMRP Management: Manage the ERPMRP systems related to procurement and inventory, ensuring data accuracy and proper system usage.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Professional certification (e.g., Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or equivalent) is a plus.Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, ideally within the electronics manufacturing industry, with specific expertise in electricalelectronic component procurement.Strong background in sourcing circuit boards, connectors, and managing EMS suppliers.Proficiency in ERP systems and their application in a manufacturing environment.
