A globally recognized hedge fund is looking for a Head of High-Frequency Trading Technology. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of live trading and trading systems, ensuring they operate seamlessly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for guiding and mentoring team members while tackling challenges in a fast-paced HFT environment. Collaboration with world-class traders, data scientists, researchers, and engineers across various departments will be key and you will need to be an outstanding communicator. You'll also be tasked with spearheading initiatives to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies that can gain the business a competitive advantage, whilst also ensuring to gather valuable insights on system performance and functionality, ensuring the technology is perfectly tailored to meet the needs of traders and maximize profits.Key ResponsibilitiesLead team members and provide technical mentorship and guidanceSupervise trade execution processes and guarantee the seamless rollout of new strategies and markets.Effectively communicate with third-party vendors (exchanges, brokers, etc.) to manage the entire process from start to finishRefine system parameters and algorithms using performance data to achieve maximum execution speedsCollaborate closely with trading teams, developers, and quantitative analysts to ensure smooth trading operations and executionsQualificationsExtensive experience in high-frequency trading technology and operationsPrevious experience in managing and leading team membersStrong expertise in Python and C++ programmingCollaborate with third-party vendors (exchanges, brokers, etc.)Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related fieldThis role provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within the rapidly expanding HFT technology team.
