CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking a highly skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our team. The role involves ensuring the integrity, security, and high availability of key public and private sector systems in a critical 247 operational environment. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in system administration across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures, with a strong focus on Windows operating systems.Responsibilities:Monitor system performance to ensure the reliability and availability of hardware, network, and server resources.Adhere to safety standards and security regulations while performing all tasks.Engage with stakeholders to clarify service requirements and scope.Maintain system documentation in configuration management databases to ensure compliance with best practices and security policies.Implement software and system configuration updates to user workstations and servers, utilizing automation tools.Manage the deployment of system patches and updates in line with organizational policies.Ensure data integrity through regular backups as per service expectations and policies.Support system reliability and disaster recovery planning.Work independently on projects, from planning and scheduling to implementation, with minimal supervision.Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response and system recovery.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management.Strong experience in administering Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows desktop (10, 11).Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.Proficient with Microsoft Clustering Technology, VMware, Nutanix, and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dell OME and Microsoft SCOM.Knowledge of backup solutions, with Commvault experience preferred.Understanding of antivirus systems and PowerShell scripting.Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively across all levels of the organization.Desired Skills:Experience with on-prem to cloud migrations.Specific experience with storage backup solutions, especially Commvault.Physical Requirements:Capable of working at a computer for extended periods.Able to occasionally lift IT equipment up to 50 lbs.Working Conditions:This position starts with a hybrid working arrangement, leading to a more office-centered schedule over cludes participation in an on-call support rotation.No third parties for this role, please.
