Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a full-time, certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The Nuclear Medicine Tech: Is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all NM activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all NM orders. Uses diagnostic imaging techniques to detect and map radioactive drugs in the human body. Administers radioactive pharmaceuticals to patients and then monitors the characteristics and functions of tissues or organs in which they localize. Must meet the minimum federal standards on the administration of radioactive drugs and the operation of radiation detection equipment. Nuclear Medicine certification is required through ARRT or NMTCB. Certification with the Nuclear Medicine Board is preferred. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Junior College or Technical program. Candidates interviewed this role will be asked to present proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview. Candidates unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered. Nuclear Medicine certification is required through ARRT or NMTCB.
