Position Type: High School Teaching/Secondary Teacher Date Posted: 10/10/2024 Location: McKenzie Center for Innovation and Technology Have appropriate Indiana teaching license or be eligible for license based on education and work experience in Heath Career/Science Technology. (Eligibility is defined as holding or be eligible for a Workplace Specialist (WS) license by having over 4000 hours in the field in the last 5 years) Work experience hours should be in a balance of industries such as: Nursing and Residential Care Facilities, Ambulatory Health Care Services, Hospitals, Social Assistance, Counseling Services, Healthcare Providers (Physician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, etc.), Biopharma/Medical Device, Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Services, Dental Services, Optometric Services, Pharmacology, Physical and Occupational Therapy Services, Respiratory Services, Radiology Services, Veterinarian Services. Job Responsibilities: Plan and provide lessons according to IDOE curriculum standards for Health Science Education I Strengthen student academics and College and Technical Education (CTE) skills for all students including special populations. Develop, improve, or expand technology into all aspects of Health Science programs to provide modern industry standard experiences. Connect Heath Science secondary programs with post-secondary education and industry requirements to enhance students' career understanding and career potential. Assist with hall supervision and other appropriate duties as assigned, to support the school's effectiveness. The Health Science Instructor is responsible for the development and delivery of the Health Science curriculum, leading to the ability for students enrolled in the program to earn Health Science-related certifications and have readiness for post-secondary studies and/or employment post-graduation across a variety of careers in the medical field. The program is designed to ensure that every enrolled student gains at least 1 or more certifications in a Health Science field.
