Job Title: Electrical Engineering Level C (Bristol, PA) Job Code: 16505 Job Location: Bristol, PA Job Description: Determine design approaches and parameters Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers Write scripts to control synthesis and build tools Digital/FPGA Engineering Design, analyze, modify, test and evaluate FPGA and programmable hardware Design complex Circuit Card Assemblies to support telemetry, RF, and encryption products for airborne systems. Digital Design requires programmable logic, VHDL language and digital communications systems knowledge DSP design positions require knowledge of digital signal processing techniques, algorithm development, software coding and simulation/modeling using MATLAB Perform schematic capture using ORCAD Cadence tools Perform Signal Integrity Analysis using HyperLynx Xpedition tools Microelectronics Design requires training in advanced electronics packaging and MEMS technology Experience with high density interconnect and semiconductor packaging technology is desired Determine design approaches and parameters Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers Ability to write scripts to control synthesis and build tool Hardware Design Verification Design and modify tests to verify the operational state of various L3Harris products and accessories Test, analyze, and evaluate the requirements compliance of L3Harris hardware products Utilize tools such as network analyzers and LabVIEW Power/Analog Engineering Design, test, and troubleshooting of power and analog circuits Schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power and analog circuits Guide PCB layout for power and analog circuits Perform worst-case analysis on power and analog circuits Write performance specifications Produce technical documentation, including review materials for customers, performance requirements, test plans, and analysis reports Participate and contribute in technical reviews Interface with multi-disciplinary teams to execute design objectives Qualifications: Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or graduate program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field Preferred Skills: Knowledge and/or experience with FPGA, VHDL, Verilog, C/C++, DSP, MATLAB, Power, Analog, or the Aerospace industry Knowledge of any of the following software tools: Vivado (Xilinx), ISE (Xilinx), Quartus (Altera/Intel), Libero(Microchip), Modelsim, ORCAD (Cadence), PADS (Xpedition/Siemens), HyperLynx (Xpedition/Siemens), LTspice (Analog Devices), Tina TI (Texas Instruments), Saturn PCB Toolkit, RidleyWorks (Ridley Engineering) Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills Knowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational concepts Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and various probe types, power supplies, digital multimeters (DMMs), function generators, frequency response analyzers (network, impedance, spectrum), temperature chambers Familiarity with power and EMI requirements from military standards MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-461 Familiarity with non-isolated and isolated power converter topologies such as buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback.
