Job Summary: The Automation Engineer will contribute to the development and implementation of state-of-the-art automation solutions for Client's global operations. This role focuses on large-scale automated equipment for processes like filling, capping, labeling, inspection, and advanced material handling. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical support for equipment installation, commissioning, and validation, ensuring efficient operation of highly automated systems. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Client's Automation Engineering team for the installation and commissioning of automated equipment at the Hebron, KY manufacturing facility. Provide technical expertise to technical operations and validation teams during characterization and validation processes. Offer software and automation support for PLC controls, HMIs, vision systems, servo controls, and other automation systems. Work with contracted equipment suppliers to troubleshoot and enhance software and configurations, both on-site and remotely. Serve as the on-site subject matter expert (SME) for the functional setup and operation of commissioned equipment. Provide training and technical guidance to operators as needed. Required Qualifications: Proficiency in Allen Bradley and Studio 5000 PLC programming. Experience working with electromechanical systems, including AC & DC motor drives, servo motors, HMIs, and machine safety systems. Strong experience in debugging equipment lines and providing on-site installation and training. Ability to work on-site at the Hebron, KY facility for 75% of the time during installation, commissioning, and validation. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with platforms like Cognex InSight, FactoryTalk View SE, and AutoCAD. Experience leading and managing teams during equipment debug and commissioning.
