Job Summary The Industrial Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance/Facility Supervisor. He/she is responsible for using their technical skill, experience, knowledge, troubleshooting, repairing and updating the plant's process, instrumentation, electrical & mechanical, piping and support systems to ensure functionality and reliability. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will also complete preventative and corrective maintenance activities on equipment in various facility buildings. The Industrial Maintenance Technician must demonstrate a high level of detail and standards and maintain adherence to all safety rules and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Perform maintenance as assigned by the Maintenance/Facility Supervisor to ensure functional performance, appearance and safe conditions. Provide professional services for the construction, installation, modification and maintenance of safe, reliable systems. Safely work independently and around others by following all required procedures and processes. Maintain, lubricate, troubleshoot and repair mechanical & electrical equipment along with installing and replacing plant equipment as assigned. Independently read and interpret related technical data to include vendor manuals, P&ID's and procedures. Work alone effectively and efficiently utilize others for peer checking when applicable. Perform a wide variety of maintenance jobs involving facility asset preventative maintenance along with corrective repairs, conduct AC/DC electrical troubleshooting and repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, building utilities to include but not limited to electrical systems, HVAC, vehicle maintenance/repairs, and any new or modified facility/equipment construction. Fabricate replacement parts when necessary, using tool room equipment to minimize down time. Train other CRT employees in the safe use of any new equipment or machinery. Maintain all necessary records on equipment and maintenance. Conform to the standards and regulations of OSHA, state and local building codes, be knowledgeable of NFPA 70E electrical safety. Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing and other departments as a member of the organizational team. At times, self-assign activities and assist others without being directed. Perform additional duties as assigned and necessary. Required Qualifications High school diploma. High level of attention to detail Knowledge of Lifting and rigging practices. Must be mechanically and electrically inclined. Must be able to read and follow written work instructions, P&ID's and drawings with little to no supervision.
