Job Summary: Trane in Richmond, Virginia is hiring a Turnkey/Special Projects Superintendent to join our organization. In this role you will be responsible for supervising HVAC Field Technicians who repair/retrofit/replace HVAC systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, controls, and mechanical layouts. This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive. Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Assist in scheduling, organizing, and dispatching HVAC Field Technicians and subcontractors to meet customer demands. Assist and complete field reports, logs, safety sheets, for projects. Collaborate with Project Managers & Estimators on jobsite walkthroughs for Turnkey projects to prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary. Provide go-to technical support for internal customers and Field Technicians. Partner with Technician Development Leader to identify and drive developmental and training opportunities for technicians. Assist Area Contracting Manager with performance reviews, development discussions as well as recommendations for hiring/firing of staff. Evaluate area safety needs/requirements to provide feedback and recommendations to technicians and assist in the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and training. Assist Technicians in scheduling, completing, and documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements. Overnight travel required on occasion. Other responsibilities & functions may be assigned. Qualifications: Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Experience with general construction managing & supervising field teams including subcontractors required. Working knowledge of HVAC products, systems, electronics, and controls preferred. EPA 608 Universal Certification & Journeyman License preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. Compensation: Base Pay Range: $ 70,000-100,000 / yr. Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
