CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for an Electrical Engineer II . Type: Contract Job Title: Electrical Engineer II Location: Wilmington, NC (Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC) Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm (Hours may vary, with occasional overtime expected. 10-20 hours of overtime per week is not uncommon.) Education: BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks. Description: The Electrical Engineer II will be responsible for: Performing hands-on installation support for new or modified production equipment. Supervising and providing direction to contract engineering technicians and trades during equipment installation and conversion activities, including demolition, construction, installation, testing, and debugging. Conducting hands-on troubleshooting, process start-up, design, and documentation of Electrical and Controls Systems for production equipment. Modifying existing documentation to create complete drawing packages, installation checklists, and machine specifications. Updating and modifying machine control programs for various processes, including PLC controlled I/O and automated systems. Assessing the condition and usability of existing equipment in relation to new installation plans. Required Qualifications: Education: BS in Electrical Engineering (4-year degree required; other degrees may be considered based on relevant experience). Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related role. Top Skills: Successful hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems. Proven project management experience, including efficiency analysis and materials procurement. Ability to supervise and direct technicians and trades during installation and conversion processes.
