Job Description The Logistics Office Assistant II is responsible for performing various clerical duties in support of shipment of products and materials both domestically and internationally. Adheres to customer shipping requirements and follows domestic and international shipping regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Support the department's mission of providing excellent and on time customer service. • Process paperwork pertaining to outbound shipments; domestic, international, HazMat and dangerous goods. • Adheres to carrier requirements, assigns freight costs, and invoices parcel and freight orders. • Routes cubes (spaces) and organizes order to wholesale customers. • Ensures specific routing requirements are met to avoid costly chargeback fees. • Prioritizes loading tasks and assists facilitators in assign such. • Prepares and organizes door assignments for empty trailers to be loaded. • Communicates with wholesale and retail regarding delivery concerns. • Communicates with transportation regarding shipments for delivery using best cost methods. Qualifications: • Basic knowledge of computers, Word and Excel. • The ability to pro-actively work independently or as part of a team, with the ability to communicate at all levels. • Flexibility in work schedule is also required for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends and extended hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need. • Ability to read and write in the English language is required.
