As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced MANUFACTURING ENGINEER . POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage multiple engineering projects that support plant operations. These projects will range from process improvements to development and installation of new tooling. • Represent CLI in a professional manner with customers and suppliers at all levels of their organization • Active leader in problem solving analysis and developing irreversible corrective actions of quality issues • Teach, lead and continuously improve all areas of the business • Responsible to lead line balancing and process changes for current and future operations • Interface with all aspects of operations including quality, materials and maintenance • Ability to be flexible • Understand CLI operations (Sequencing/sub -assembly, shipping and receiving) • Interface with CLI plant liaisons on a daily basis regarding any issues • Follow and improve the CLI business systems • Ability to work well in a team environment and have a positive attitude • Effectively interact with, lead and develop people • Work very closely with the other engineers to ensure continuity • Customer focused • Able to work with and effectively communicate with operators on the floor as well as CLI Management POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in assembly and/or manufacturing and demonstrated success as a person who solves problems. A minimum of three (3) years of experience with the APQP system. VAA or manufacturing experience. Plant and assembly cell layout. Experience with Elemental Time Studies and Value Stream Mapping. Start-Up, Equipment Installation and Launch experience required. Experience with PLC. Understanding and experience of assembly tooling and equipment and ROBOTICS. Tier 1 automotive experience is required. Sub-assembly and Sequencing experience are required. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Solid verbal and written communication skills.
