Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Install new CNC machine tool systems at customer facility (including all options and accessories on all machine types). • Analyze findings to troubleshoot and determine source(s) of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or application issues. • Coordinate problem resolution and recommend repair, replacement, and/or other corrective action for CNC machine tools. • Provide on-site and remote support (telephone, email, etc.) to customers, distributors, and colleagues. • Provide project management and training as required. • Execute other tasks related to trade show events (ToyoTech, IMTS, etc.) and/or service support on an asneeded basis. • Travel Requirements: 90% - 100%. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in machine tool maintenance/technology (both electrical and mechanical). • 3+ years of experience in providing remote technical support (both electrical and mechanical) in the machine tool industry. • 3+ years of experience with installation and/or maintenance of machining centers. Preferred Qualifications: • Associate Degree in Machine Tool Technology. • Knowledge of PLC programming/troubleshooting, control systems, Fanuc Controls, and power circuits. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The individual is subject to moderate exposure to possible injuries and moderate to high exposure to some fumes and vapors, grease, oil, dust, etc. Must follow all safety requirements carefully. Work Environment: Work is mostly performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to health or safety hazards that requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and hearing protection.
