We pride ourselves on our reputation for providing world-class service, backed by hundreds of 5-star Google reviews, and a commitment to building lasting relationships within our communities.Who We're Looking For:We are seeking proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team a Mortgage Underwriter.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze mortgage loan applications for accuracy and completeness.Assess borrower creditworthiness and analyze financial documents, including income statements, tax returns, and asset documentation.Evaluate loan-to-value ratios, debt-to-income ratios, and other key metrics to determine eligibility for mortgage loans.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and lender-specific underwriting guidelines.Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with mortgage lending.Collaborate with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders to clarify borrower information and documentation.Document findings and decisions clearly and maintain accurate records of underwriting actions.Provide feedback and recommendations for policy improvements related to mortgage underwriting processes.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in mortgage underwriting.Other responsibilities as assignedRequirements:Underwriter Qualifications Skills:In-depth knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and practices.Strong understanding of various loan products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and non QM loansProficient in evaluating credit reports and analyzing borrower financial profiles.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.6 years of experience specifically in mortgage underwriting, sales or processingFamiliarity with underwriting automation tools and mortgage processing software preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook and TeamsWhat We Offer:Integrated POS CRM and LOS systems.Periodic training and ongoing support to enhance your skills.A customized training program to help you succeed quickly.Access to decision-makers for faster service and closing centives:Competitive compensation planOpportunities for contests, trips, awards, and more.A great balance between work and personal life.Benefits: · Health insurance.
