** ONSITE position in Fort Worth **Description:The Data Center Technician II will be responsible for day-to-day data center support activities, including but not limited to: Server and network hardware installation, copper fiber-optic cabling, "layer 1" troubleshooting and IT asset management. The Data Center Technician II will monitor and respond to hardware and software issues, utilizing an industry-standard ticketing system and to provide clear, timely and appropriate customer communications. Activities will be governed by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Program, Safety and Security Policies in order to meet requirements for quality and quantity of work. Will be required to join an on-call rotation for after-hours support. Will actively participate in the change management process, both checking in a monitoring production and preventative maintenances. Required Experience:2+ years Rack and Stack experienceOS provisioningreprovisioning (e.g., from USB or network share)Boot strapping network devices and configuring IP addresses on these devices1+ year basic Linux and scripting experience (e.g., checkout repo from GitHub, set up Linux environment, run and troubleshoot Ansible script)DNSDHCPExperience with O365 software desiredUnderstanding of ITSM DCIM workflow management system(s)Working knowledge of Jira (preferred) or other ticketing systemsWorking knowledge of server hardware (HP, Dell, Supermicro servers)Working knowledge of basic networking components and protocols (Cisco, Arista, Juniper)Knowledgeable in data center practices (e.g., fault tolerance, redundant cabling, calculating power usage, teaming, etc.)Able to manage server, switch, router, storage, and other hardware lifecycle processesAble to understand how to correctly and effectively run cabling - e.g., power, Cat6, SMMM fiber optic and IBStrong cable management skills and experience running fiber and copper in a data centerBasic understanding of electrical, HVAC, and cable infrastructureCertifications (preferred): CCNA, CCENT, CompTIA Server+, ITILOther AbilitiesSkills:Able to safely lift and move a minimum of 50 poundsAble to be on feet majority of work dayFluency in both written and spoken EnglishMust provide own transportation to work location(s)Must be able to respond to any on-call request within 1 hourAble to update asset management data as required, using scannersStrong proclivity towards multitasking and adaptivityMust be punctual, reliable, and have good organization skillsMust have good interpersonal skills for working in a team environmentMust have good time management skills, be goal oriented to deliver good quantityquality of workAble to operate material handling equipment - pallet jacks and forklifts, if certifiedAble to learn new systems, methodologies, and procedures, including different types software hardware
