F5 Engineer - F5Python Automation (Hybrid in Atlanta)The Senior Engineer role within the Network Engineering team provides leadership in network design, validation, deployment, maintenance and 24x7 operational support. The successful candidate will work on further advancing one of the largest and global financial networks with a wide variety of critical services as well as help drive large scale data center refreshes both on premise and cloud. The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and the highest degree of professionalism. ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, support and maintain mixed vendor network infrastructureDevelop, document and publish architectural standards and designsAssist staff with problem solving and escalation proceduresUnderstand and follow operational policiesprocedures and promote adherence to sameProvide technical knowledge needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network infrastructureAssist with development of policies and procedures for maintaining network infrastructureCollaborate and work closely with all other IT teamsLead incident investigations, diagnosis, and service restoration and always give priority to the resolution of incidentsBe a subject matter expert provide guidance to other Engineers (troubleshooting, design, on-boarding, risk mitigation, operational improvement)Knowledge and ExperienceIn depth knowledge of general network principles and technology, and how to apply them in a service oriented mission critical environmentAbility to lead technical projects from design through implementation and rolloutExperience configuring and troubleshooting Web Application Firewalls (WAF), deploying new rules and troubleshooting an existing policy set Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDN) migrating new applications or troubleshooting issues with existing applications routed through a CDN Proficient understanding of x509 SSL certificates and code signing certificates Experience configuring network load balancer virtual servers, pools, rules, etc. Strong knowledge and experience developing in Python Experience using Restful APIs Proficient with GIT for software collaboration and version control Running and analyzing sniffer traces with deep TCPIP protocol understanding Basic UnixLinux system administration Excellent communication and documentation skills Excellent customer service attitude Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure Preferred SkillsExperience working with Cloudflare or Akamai CDN's F5, Checkpoint, or Palo Alto advanced certification Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering or related field
